South of the Border Motocross Training Facility will be hosting a special event on Saturday September 14th with rising motocross star Cooper Webb. Cooper will be joining us from 10am to 4pm. There will be a meet and greet session where you can chat or get an autograph. Cooper will also be out riding on our 4 world-class motocross tracks, and even giving you some pointers on how to step your game up to pro level. The cost is only $20, which includes track fee and lunch.
A Little About Cooper Webb 175
Cooper Webb’s amateur career saw him win and amazing 4 Loretta Lynn Championships. His podium finishes were almost too many to count. He began his wins at Loretta Lynn’s races on his Yamaha PW50 back in 2002, and won his last race in 2012 on his YZ250F. After much success as an amateur, Cooper turned pro in 2013 at the Hangtown MX event back in May.
Cooper Webb rides for the Star Racing Yamaha Team and wears the number 175. He is also a member of the famous Metal Mulisha crew, and his profile there has a list of all his accomplishments and awards. Cooper lives in Morehead City, NC and has been a regular at SOBMX for a while now. He credits the South of the Border MotocrossTraining Facility for helping him by having a variety of tracks to ride in a recent interview.
Don’t miss this rare chance to meet and ride with Cooper Webb, one of motocross’s hottest young stars. He is sure to be a superstar in the sport very soon, and this might be your best chance. If you need any further information, use the SOBMX Contact Page.
SOBMX Training Facility is a hotbed of motocross action right now, as riders gear up for the 31st Annual Red Bull AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. The Vurbmoto crew came into South of the Border to see Jerry Robin training at SOBMX as he gets ready for the race. Jerry Robin has created quite a buzz lately by riding and winning on his vintage 1985 Honda CR250. This great gallery of photos by Vurbmoto shows him, along with Matt Burkeen and Kyler West, taking on the 4 motocross tracks here at SOBMX Training Facility.
South of the Border MX Training Complex will be hosting a school for 50/65/85cc riders. The price for the school will be $250 for 2 days (if you can only make Saturday, a limited number of spots will be available for $150). Class will start at 1 on Friday May 17th. Saturday’s class will begin at 10 on May 18th and will finish up around 4. SOBMX instructor, Taylor Futrell will be teaching the class and we will only take 15 students.
