Grant Ransdell

Grant has been competing in motocross since the age of 4. He is one of the few privateers in the pro ranks to score points in the Lucas Oil Outdoor Nationals as well as make all of the night shows in SX he attended in 2014. Grant has excellent knowledge of technique, and a racers perspective on all aspects of riding and racing MX/SX. Grant also holds the record of qualifying for Loretta Lynn’s the most consecutive times (13). Grant will be competing in 450SX in 2017 and hopes to hit all of the east coast rounds. Grant will hit a few outdoor nationals after SX.

Taylor Futrell

Taylor is one of the most decorated motocross racers to come out of the state of North Carolina. During a fourteen year amateur career Taylor won three national titles including a win in 450A at the AMA Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s. A pro career, cut short by injury, included top ten finishes in both AMA Supercross and Outdoor National competition. Taylor utilizes his experience at the national and professional level to coach kids on riding technique as well as the mental aspects of motocross. An avid sports fan, each morning Taylor is always ready for a discussion on the previous evening’s happenings in the world of sports!

Staff

Josh Huff - Mechanic

Josh is the SOBMX “House” mechanic. Josh has been riding since the age of 10 and rebuilt his first motorcycle at the age of 12. He has also spent time on the road as an Outdoor Nationals/ Supercross mechanic for Taylor Futrell and Tyler Bright. Josh is 5 star certified on Honda, Yamaha, Honda, KTM, and Suzuki. He is available at SOBMX Monday thru Friday from 9-5. You will also see him riding his Honda CRF 450 on his lunch break!

Sprout

Sprout has worked at South of the Border since he was in middle school. He is in charge of all facets of track prep and is a tireless worker. In the summer months it is not unusual for Sprout to see the sun rise and set from the water truck or dozer.

Wes

Wes has been helping with track prep for the last couple of years. Wes can drive anything with wheels or tracks and does an excellent job!
