Christmas Open Ride Days

We will be having open ride days on December 26th, 27th, and 28th from 10-4, come and join us!

South of the Border Motocross Training Facility in Hamer, SC has become one of the top places to train in the Southeast. Our variety of perfectly maintained tracks includes Supercross, Arenacross and 2 Motocross tracks. The SOBMX amenities are first rate and few places have the level of services that we offer. Thanks to our location beside the South of the Border Tourist Attraction, we can offer motel rooms, full-service camping, 24hr restaurants and much more.

One of the hottest young amateur riders has been calling SOBMX home lately, and is now headed to the Pro circuit. Cooper Webb of the Star Valli Yamaha team recently did an interview with Racerxonline where he mentioned SOBMX as an important part of his motocross training schedule. Continue reading →

It was an awesome weekend for the South of the Border MX Training Complex riders at the Suzuki Top Gun Challenge at Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville Tennessee. Led by Matt Burkeen with four first place finishes and two seconds, the team piled up twenty-one top five finishes and six championships!

Burkeen scored a first in both of the 450B classes, a first and a second in the 250B classes and a first and a second in the two Schoolboy 2 classes. Nicholas Weddington was first in the 250C and 450C classes and Kyler West carded two seconds, a third and a fifth in the schoolboy classes. Will McRacken had a third, a fourth, and a fifth place finish, also in Schoolboy. Jared Jennings was fourth and fifth in the 125 class and just outside the top five in Schoolboy 1. Ryan Schafer and his son Austin both finished fifth in their classes with the five year old, Austin, beating many kids two and three years older.

Congrats to all of the SOBMX riders who competed last week at the Redbull AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s. Top 10 finishers included Cooper Webb with a 1st and a 2nd in 250B stock and mod, Cody Gragg with a 4th in 2 stroke and a 9th in 250A, Matt Burkeen with a 7th in 450B stock, Kyler West with a 7th in Schoolboy 1 and Shane Hall with a 9th in both 450B and Collegeboy!
