SOBMX SPRING CAMPS

SOBMX, home of the 2019 Loretta Lynn’s Southeast Youth Regional is pleased to announce the following two-day and one-week motocross camps. All facets of riding and racing including, but not limited to, cornering, jumping, line selection, body positioning, and starts. The classes will be taught by SOBMX trainers, Brandon Scharer and Matt Bisceglia!

Week Long Camps ($550 per rider)

  • Age 12+ on March 25th – March 29th
  • Age 12+ on April 1st – April 5th
  • Age 12+ on April 8th – April 12th
  • Age 12+ on April 15th – April 19th
  • All Ages on April 22nd – April 26th
  • All Ages on April 29th – May 4th

Weekend Camps: ($300 per rider)

  • 50/65/85 2 Day School – April 27th to April 28th
  • 85/125/Big Bike School – May 4th to May 5th

Brandon Scharer to train riders at SOBMX

South of the Border Motocross Training Complex is extremely excited to announce the addition of Lucas Oil Outdoor National and Monster Energy Supercross rider Brandon Scharer to our training staff! Brandon is twenty-four years old and has been racing for eighteen years, six as a professional. Brandon had top ten finishes outdoors in 2018 and a best of twelfth in Supercross. Scharer earned national number 58 for the 2019 season. Brandon has been training riders for the last 5 years and has worked with Buddy Antunez throughout his amateur and professional career.

“My objective is to help riders achieve their goals, both on and off the bike, by teaching good techniques and proper fitness.” – Brandon Scharer

Fall Training Special

South of the Border Motocross Training Complex is offering a Fall Training Special for motocross riders of all ability levels. Training will begin September 24th and go through the Christmas break and the price will be $2,500. this will include training on and off the motorcycle Monday thru Friday, and the support of our trainers at the Mini Os in November. 

Training will be led by head trainer, Brandon Scharer and a max of 20 riders will be accepted. Riders will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

The South Carolina State Championship race cancelled due to hurricane Florence and has been rescheduled for October 6th and 7th. This is an AMA sanctioned event and memberships will be available at the race. 

Friday gates open at 4:00PM and will close midnight. Saturday will be practice day (weather permitting) from 9:30 till 3:00. Sunday signup will begin at 7am, practice at 8am, with racing to follow. 

Contact www.victory-sports.com for more info. Sorry, there are NO hookup campsites available for this race, primitive camping only. There is plenty of flat non-hookup camping and there is fresh water and a dump station on site.
