South of the Border MX had a great two weeks at the Spring Nationals in Oak Hill and Mill Creek. Riders Cooper Webb, Daniel Baker, Jake Knable, Chad Godwin, Kyler West, Matt Burkeen, Jacob Blomfield, Jason Astudillo, Will McRacken, and Christina Older won 5 overall championships, scored 9 top 3 finishes, 5 top 5s and 13 top 10s. Awesome job!!!
Jacob Blomfield was impressive in the A classes. At Oak Hill Jacob scored a 2nd, a 7th and a 10th. At Mill Creek Jacob was 2nd 4th and 6th in the 450 A classes and Open 4 stroke! The training at South of the Border MX is paying dividends!
Rockstar Suzuki, SOBMX rider, Daniel Baker was on it at Oak Hill scoring a second and a third in Open Am and Schoolboy 2.
Christina Older won a championship in Women’s class at Mill Creek and backed it up with a 3rd and a 4th at Oak Hill!
Will McRacken scored 3 top 10 finishes at Oak Hill and Mill Creek. Will was 10th in Open Amateur, 9th in four stroke, and went into the final moto of Schoolboy with a shot at a championship. A bad start led to a, still awesome, 5th overall.
Cooper Webb won 3 championships and scored 2 second place finishes at Oak Hill and Mill Creek in Schoolboy and the 250B classes. Great job Cooper!
Jake Knable had a best finish of 6th in Open 4 Stroke at Mill Creek. Jake also had top 15s in 250 and 450A.
Jason Astudillo made his debut in the A class at Oak Hill. He got stronger at Mill Creek and ended the week with 4 top 15s including a 10th and a 9th.
Kyler West scored an impressive second overall in Schoolboy at Oak Hill. Mechanical issues affected his overall finishes at Oak Hill and Mill Creek.
Matt Burkeen had 7 top 10 finishes including a 2nd, 2 4ths, a 6th and a 7th.
Andres was great at Mill Creek but a mechanical issue hurt his finishes.
Chad Godwin scored a 12th, 13th, and a 26th in 450B mod, Collegeboy, and 450B stock.
